Epoxy Garage Floor Circleville Ohio Project

This past fall we completed an epoxy flake floor for this client in Circleville. They were looking for a clean sophisticated look for their pole barn. Choosing our epoxy flake system for a project like this was the best way to go. Not only will this offer great durability, but it is also very easy to clean. Check out the pictures and process below about our epoxy garage floor Circleville Ohio project.

Like all projects we do, the preparation steps stay the same. But in this case the concrete we were working with was very tightly troweled which made the grinding process take longer than expected. This is not something unusual in our line of business, but it’s definitely something to be knowledgeable about. We were able to get all the grinding done in 3 days, which is typically something we finish in a 1-2 day period. Fortunately for us, the concrete was fairly new so we did not have to make any repairs. The next step we applied the epoxy base coat and threw in the flakes to cover the entire floor. The next day after the epoxy has cured, we scraped the entire floor and vacuumed up all the extra flakes. Finally we apply two coats of polyurethane over the entire floor. Urethane sealer is important because it is:

  • Durable
  • Easy to Clean
  • Scratch Resistant
  • Chemical Resistant
  • Slip Resistant

With these benefits, our client will enjoy his pole barn’s floor. He uses this space as a maintenance shop on his farm and has to work on several of his trucks and small engines throughout the year. One of the main reasons he chose our epoxy flooring system.

Overall the project turned out perfectly and our clients were very happy with their new floor. Check out the pictures below to see how we transformed this concrete floor into a thing of beauty.
